Pullman Brisbane King George Square has bolstered its senior executive team ahead of what is shaping up to be a huge year for the property with the appointments of a new director of marketing, director of sales, executive assistant manager, and a new front office manager.
The appointments bring a fresh perspective and dynamic approach to continuing the hotel’s impressive track record across accommodation, and food and beverage. With combined industry experience of more than 50 years, the new team is committed to leading transformative initiatives whilst fostering a culture of excellence and guest satisfaction.

Andrew Hodson – director of sales
Part of the Accor family for more than six years, Andrew brings extensive experience garnered across both the local Brisbane market, the UK, and South Africa. Having spent time in front of house, guest relations, and reception roles prior to forging a career in sales in some of the world’s best-known hotel brands, including The Ascott Mayfair in London, Andrew’s proficiency in business development comes from a place of deep understanding of both hotel and guests’ needs.
Time spent in executive sales roles, including director of sales for Queensland and Northern Territory, has refined Andrew’s abilities to develop and implement strategic sales processes and tactical activity, drive performance in key segments, and identify new commercial opportunities. Working with key stakeholders from guests to major clients, Andrew brings a well-rounded and impressive skillset to his new role in Brisbane.

Paul Ison – director of marketing
Paul Ison joins Pullman Brisbane King George Square to lead the hotel’s marketing strategy during what is shaping up to be a significant period of growth for the property. With more than two decades of experience across hospitality, accommodation and venue-based marketing, Ison’s career has spanned large entertainment venues, multi-site hospitality groups and national accommodation portfolios, where he has led marketing across F&B, events, functions and hotel operations.
Known for combining strategic thinking with hands-on commercial execution, Paul focuses on initiatives that translate directly into visitation, bookings, venue trade and long-term brand growth.
Prior to joining Pullman, Ison held senior marketing roles across hospitality and accommodation businesses throughout Australia, and most recently led marketing for a professional services group working across cyber resilience, training and advisory sectors.

Jefferson Lagarde – executive assistant manager
French-born, educated in Spain, and with varied and comprehensive local industry experience spanning Perth and Brisbane, Jefferson pairs international understanding with local experience. With past roles providing management opportunities across F&B, and a stint in a Michelin-starred venue in Spain, Jefferson brings a fusion of skills to his role at Pullman, setting him up to bring innovative change to the property.

Thomas Annand – front office manager
A seasoned front office manager and Brisbane local, Thomas brings luxury experience from brands including Hilton, Stamford, and Sofitel to his new role. His extensive marketing and hospitality educational credentials complement six years of hands-on experience, time spent managing luxury and guest experiences and overseeing conferences and events, bringing a rounded understanding of the responsibilities associated with the demanding front office role.
“I am excited to see this dynamic new team already establishing themselves and driving positive change within each of their departments, and the hotel,” Pullman Brisbane King George Square general manager Nic O’Donnell said.
“Pullman Brisbane King George Square is on the cusp of several big projects kicking off, and 2026 is shaping up to be a massive one for the property.
