Qantas has completed its tariff review to absorb fuel surcharges into base international airfares, effective across all tickets issued on or after 1 July 2015 for travel from Australia.
This change has not impacted overall total ticket value fare levels as all-inclusive prices advertised to customers already include base fare and Ticket Taxes, Fees and Carrier Imposed Charges, the airline stated.
According to the national carrier, the real cost of international air travel has dropped by 30%in the past decade.
“Qantas will continue to price competitively, with international fares moving in line with the broader market,” Qantas announced.
“We believe our international fares continue to represent excellent value for customers.”
