Five fortunate travel advisors have enjoyed the home-town attractions of Noel and Liam Gallagher’s Manchester, among other UK highlights, as part of a Qantas competition which included an Oasis concert followed by a VisitBritain famil.
The Qantas Supernova Seat gave 15 lucky travel advisors the chance to win corporate box tickets to the highly anticipated Oasis Live 25 concert in Sydney, including flights and accommodation.
Then, as part of the booking incentive campaign, and in partnership with VisitBritain, five of those winners received the grand prize: return Premium Economy flights aboard the Qantas A380 and five nights of curated touring in London and Manchester – the hometown of Oasis – for an unforgettable experience.

“The Oasis corporate box experience was truly special, Qantas’ Premium Economy seats were spacious and comfortable – a bonus as I have long legs!” winning Flight Centre travel advisor Lauren Zakrzewski said.
Through the UK famil adventure, agents were able to gain deeper insights into the Qantas network connecting Australia to the UK and experience the magic of iconic London and Manchester destinations first-hand.
“I am sure I’ll never participate in a famil as AMAZING as this one,” fellow Flight Centre advisor Chris Kunz said. “From the super comfortable seats in Premium on QF1, to the always impressive sights and squirrels of London. But the real treasure was discovering the spirit of Manchester – the community pride, the rich history, and of course the music, food and culture. I’ll be selling the baggy trousers off this city when I get home.”

Meanwhile, Ella Fulton declared: “England, where do I even start? Probably on QF1! The premium economy seats were big, but the variety of history, diversity, cars, and weather were even bigger.
“As a first-timer, I now fully understand why Londoners walk fast and why Manchester is obsessed with football. I will be sad to see the ground disappear from the window of 77A. Till next time!”
From iconic landmarks and world-class hotels to hidden neighbourhood gems, the famil itinerary was designed to showcase the very best of British city life.
“From music, to art, luxury travel to incredible experiences, our trip ticked all the boxes,” advisor Roberta Follador said. “Qantas delivered a seamless flight to London where we were greeted with picture perfect sights, and a vibrant city that never sleeps.”
In London, guests stayed in the heart of the West End at The Londoner, explored the capital in classic Mini Coopers as part of the smallcarBIGCITY Tour, and ventured into the timeless English countryside with visits to Stourhead and Salisbury Cathedral on a Luxury Vacations UK day tour.
“The Londoner and the overall experience in London was phenomenonal,” Zakrzewski said.

Heading north to Manchester, the group discovered a city brimming with creativity and character. They walked in the footsteps of musical legends, toured one of the world’s top football clubs, sampled the local food scene, and enjoyed true northern hospitality at the Grade II-listed The Edwardian Manchester.
“Manchester completely exceeded my expectations,” Zakrzewski added. “The tour guides were all extremely knowledgeable and great to chat to, I can’t wait to recommend the city to my customers and return one day myself!”
Said Follador: “Two hours’ train ride took us to Manchester, my new favourite destination. A must for those seeking creativity, culture, football fever and a diverse music scene.
“The food tour, English countryside, the warm of the locals and my travel companions made this a truly memorable trip.”
