QantasLink begins its new non-stop service from Perth to the remote The Cocos (Keeling) Islands today, removing a previous stop in Port Hedland, and cutting the total journey time to just over four hours.

As Australia’s most remote tropical island, the Cocos (Keeling) Islands in the Indian Ocean can host just 144 travellers at a time. Noted for endless white-sand beaches, clear lagoons and rare wildlife, it’s a true off-grid destination for travellers to adventure or simply slow down.

Just in time for a winter escape, the new direct service is expected to open the Cocos (Keeling) Islands to more travellers, with less travel time making short getaways and longer stays more accessible.

Flights are now available to book via qantas.com, with the weekly Friday service operating from Perth.

QantasLink will help in getting away from all, with a four-hour flight to the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.
