Qatar Airways is set to expand deeper into South America, confirming new services to Caracas and Bogotá from 22 July 2026 as it strengthens connectivity between the Middle East and the Americas.
The carrier will become the first Gulf airline to operate to Venezuela and the first airline to connect the Middle East with both Colombia and Venezuela via scheduled services.
The new twice-weekly operation will run every Wednesday and Sunday, linking Doha with Bogotá before continuing on to Caracas. The return service from Caracas to Doha will operate non-stop.
Flight QR783 will depart Doha at 7:30am, arriving into Bogotá at 4:05pm local time before continuing to Caracas, landing at 8:40pm. The return leg departs Caracas at 10:40pm and arrives back into Doha at 7:55pm the following day.
The airline said the schedule has been designed to maximise onward connections through Hamad International Airport, particularly for travellers connecting to markets including Australia, China, Japan, Lebanon, South Korea and the UAE.
The addition of Bogotá and Caracas will take Qatar Airways’ Americas network to 16 destinations, further building on its South American footprint which began in 2010 with services to São Paulo.
The routes were originally flagged in early 2025 but have now been confirmed for launch in July 2026 following a revised rollout timeline.
Qatar Airways says the expansion forms part of its broader global network growth strategy, with the airline expected to serve more than 160 destinations worldwide during the northern summer 2026 season.
