Qatar Airways and Philippine Airlines are strengthening their strategic partnership with an expanded codeshare agreement and new reciprocal loyalty benefits set to roll out from 1 June.
Building on the codeshare partnership launched in June 2025, the airlines will unlock access to more than 40 additional destinations for travellers across Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the Philippines.
Under the expanded agreement, Philippine Airlines will place its PR code on Qatar Airways-operated flights from Manila, Cebu, Clark and Davao to Doha, giving passengers onward access to more than 20 European cities via Hamad International Airport, including Paris, Rome and Frankfurt.
Meanwhile, Qatar Airways will add its QR code to Philippine Airlines domestic services, allowing international travellers arriving into Manila and Cebu to connect more seamlessly to popular leisure destinations such as Caticlan and Puerto Princesa.
The move is also extending into the loyalty space, with Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Philippine Airlines Mabuhay Miles members now able to collect and redeem rewards across both carriers’ networks.
The partnership becomes the 26th airline tie-up for Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club and significantly expands its footprint across Southeast Asia. Members can now earn and spend Avios on Philippine Airlines flights throughout Australasia, Southeast Asia, the United States and domestic Philippine routes including Cebu, Clark and Davao City.
At the same time, Mabuhay Miles members will gain access to earning and redemption opportunities across Qatar Airways’ global network, including destinations throughout Europe and Africa.
Travellers will also be able to redeem points for a range of lifestyle and travel experiences. Qatar Airways Privilege Club members can use Avios for upgrades, oneworld and partner airline reward flights, Qatar Executive bookings, holiday packages and shopping at Qatar Duty Free.
Qatar Airways boosts Africa network
Qatar Airways is also expanding its African network, with flight resumptions and frequency increases launching from 16 June 2026.
Boosting connectivity across Africa, the airline will restart four weekly flights to Seychelles (SEZ) and two weekly flights to Kigali (KGL) from 16 June, and daily flight to Marrakesh (RAK) from 1 July.
