Radisson Hotel Group has signed Australia’s first Radisson RED, with the 328-room, new-build lifestyle hotel set to open in Sydney’s Haymarket precinct in 2029.

The 31-storey tower will rise at the southern gateway to the CBD, close to Central Station, Sydney Light Rail’s Haymarket station, Chinatown, Darling Harbour, the International Convention Centre, several universities and the emerging Tech Central precinct. The site sits 200 metres from Central Station and 6.3 kilometres from Sydney Airport and will overlook the heritage Grand Clock Tower.

Radisson RED Sydney Haymarket has been developed in partnership with Ceerose. Elie Younes, executive vice president and global chief development officer at Radisson Hotel Group, said the signing marked an important milestone in the group’s Australasia expansion plan, describing Radisson RED as offering “a relevant and impactful proposition to both guests and owners.”

Edward Doueihi, founder and managing director of Ceerose, said the hotel had been conceived as a destination reflecting the energy and transformation taking place across that part of Sydney, calling the location a compelling opportunity for a new lifestyle hotel.

As an upper-upscale lifestyle property, the hotel will feature a restaurant, a lobby café-bar, a pool bar, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and 218 square metres of meeting space. It will also offer a dedicated early- and late-check-out lounge for guests.

Radisson RED is Radisson Hotel Group’s lifestyle brand, aimed at travellers drawn to bold design, social spaces and informal service. The Sydney signing adds to the group’s development momentum across Australasia, where it continues to pursue lifestyle, upper-upscale, resort and conversion opportunities in key urban and leisure markets.
