Rail Europe has expanded its Italian rail offering with the addition of Campania Express, providing travel professionals and API partners with an additional rail option for some of southern Italy’s most popular destinations.
Campania Express operates on the historic Circumvesuviana railway line, linking Naples with key destinations across the Campania region including Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vico Equense and Sorrento.
“Southern Italy continues to attract travellers from around the world thanks to its unique combination of history, culture, gastronomy and coastal landscapes,” said Rail Europe chief growth officer Robert From.
“By adding Campania Express to our portfolio, and making it available through both our agent platform and API, we are giving our partners worldwide an additional option for connecting travellers with some of Campania’s most sought-after destinations.”
The service stops at Napoli Porta Nolana, Napoli Piazza Garibaldi, Ercolano Scavi-Vesuvio, Pompei Scavi-Villa dei Misteri, Castellammare di Stabia, Vico Equense, Meta di Sorrento, Piano di Sorrento, Sant’Agnello and Sorrento.
Designed for leisure travellers, Campania Express offers reserved seating, air conditioning and dedicated luggage space.
With fewer stops than regular local services operating on the same corridor, it provides a visitor-friendly way to explore the region.
Campania Express is available through Rail Europe’s dedicated platform for travel professionals, and via Rail Europe’s API.
