Rail Online has announced its appointment of Evolution Travel Collective (ETC) to bolster knowledge of Rail Online’s services amongst travel agents.

General manager Australia and New Zealand Kirsty Blows said that effective immediately ETC will help drive sales by enhancing Rail Online’s brand awareness and implementing a range of product training initiatives.

“Given the unprecedented demand for rail travel in 2023, and the rate at which our portfolio of products and services is expanding, it’s vital Australian travel agents are fully across the benefits Rail Online provides them and their customers,” Blows said.

“To ensure that is the case, ETC will now undertake a broad variety of activities on Rail Online’s behalf, including visiting travel agents across the country, running high-value webinars, and representing our company at key trade expos and conferences.”

Blows said that as an established operator with a national presence, ETC is ideally positioned to work with Rail Online.

“We were also keen to work closely with ETC managing director Ingrid Berthelsen, who has previously held senior roles in Australasia with Rail Europe and Rail Plus.”

Berthelsen said she is excited to be a promoting a booking platform that is “transforming the travel agents’ experience of booking global rail journeys”.

“In the past agents have often shied away from booking rail because it was a difficult and time-consuming task,” she said.

“That’s no longer the case because Rail Online’s platform makes the process fast and simple – giving agents the ability and confidence to offer customers a valuable additional service.”
