Renos Rologas takes on the role of general manager ANZ for FCM Travel, a flagship brand under the Flight Centre Travel Group banner, celebrates 20 years of business this month.
“We are heavily focussed on engaging and speaking to our customers, to understand what their challenges are, and how we can make their experience better,” Rologas said.
“We have both formally structured and casual processes for understanding the customer perspective. Our customer base has an increasing propensity to travel – 60 per cent of travel buyers were expecting more travel in this calendar year and two thirds are anticipating a higher business travel spend according to the Global Business Travel Association.”
He steps into the shoes of Melissa Elf, who has handed on the baton in order to turn her focus to the global business.
According to its latest results (H1 FY24), FCM Travel total transaction value in the first half of FY24 was 20 per cent above pre-Covid values, in a sector that has recovered to 70 per cent of pre-Covid activity volume.
