Those seeking answers to why the Russian Aeroflot plane crash that killed 41 people occurred have been given a bit of clarity around the tragic incident.
According to a report by the country’s civil aviation authority, obtained by a state news agency, the crew onboard the plane did not use the aircraft’s air brakes before it burst into flames on the tarmac at Sheremetyevo International Airport.

The report also said that the pilot significantly changed the plane’s pitch, and indicated that human error may have been a vital factor in the crash, which occurred on 5 May and counted 33 survivors.
The main investigative body of Russia revealed earlier this month that it had recovered the two flight recorders from the plane, and that investigators were looking into inexperienced pilots, equipment failure and bad weather as possible causes of the disaster.
