Panoptis Escape is a boutique resort and a member of the prestigious ‘Small Luxury Hotels of the World.’

This exclusive luxe hideaway in Mykonos consists of 18 villas with private pools and killer views, making it a must-stay for travellers heading to Mykonos.

First Impression/Look and Feel on Arrival 10/10

Driving up the winding road leading to the Panoptis Escape will leave travellers swept over by the awesome WOW factor that only gets stronger as they climb to the top of this cliff-top escape.

On arrival, the most stunning and beautiful space presents itself, like an oasis that stimulated all of the senses. The staff are playful and fun, and it’s obvious they enjoy working there, a sign of a good employer making what is guaranteed an exceptional guest experience.

The architectural beauty of this boutique hotel and the extraordinary vista down to the Aegean Ocean is incredible.

Location 9/10

The Panoptis escape was conceived over a few years to create a vision for a unique, and luxurious Mykonos experience, that would be architecturally pure, provide a warm welcome similar to a private home and have somewhere for guests to escape the busy Mykonos vibe.

Panoptis offers every possible comfort that one should expect in a luxury hotel and its location will suit those travellers who want to be close enough to the action, a car ride away but far enough away to feel like they are on a secluded island.

PANOPTIS ESCAPE, Santorini

The Rooms 10/10

The rooms feature stunning views across the Cyclades archipelago and are perfectly styled, and unabashedly luxurious with unique artwork throughout.

They’re spacious for sleeping and the living areas are equipped with state-of-the-art in-room technology, kitchenette facilities a dining space, and a very luxurious bathroom with lush amenities and toiletries.

Each room has panoramic views of Elia Beach and the Aegean Sea and comes with a large private terrace with a private pool and/or jacuzzi.

Dining at Panoptis Escape 10/10

Seafood is the star of the hotel’s restaurant – along with those Aegean views. From farm-to table to Mediterranean salads to melt-in-the-mouth fresh fish, the dining experience at Panoptis Escape is a palatable journey celebrating the finest of the classic Greek and Mediterranean cuisine.

Panoptis guests are able to book in for meals at any of the Myconian Collection’s 10 hotels on the island (transfers are free) but the Panoptis one is one not to be missed. It’s a sublime culinary adventure that begs to be enjoyed!

Location 9/10

The island’s airport is a 25-minute drive from the hotel. Seasonal flights operate throughout the spring and summer, and it’s also an option to connect to a domestic service in Athens. A free shuttle bus ships guests back and forth (from the port, too), or guests can pay for a private transfer.

The hotel has free valet parking and a car will come in handy for touring the island – but so will a quad bike or scooter for added Greek-island authenticity.

Verdict 10/10

This is the luxury hotel experience that reminds visitors of the importance of luxury. The scenery, the service, the architecture and design, the food, the warm and friendly staff…it’s all exceptional.

It’s 5 stars plus, a must-stay in Greece.
