Railbookers and Amtrak Vacations announce major sale
For the first time ever, Railbookers and Amtrak Vacations are giving travellers the chance to save up to $500 on must-have rail travel experiences across the globe during the Once in a Lifetime Sale.
From 23 October through 1 November 2019, couples who book any three to six-night rail holiday can save $300 or they can save $400 on any seven to nine-night trip. When booking an itinerary that includes 10 or more nights, couples will save $500.
The sale will give travellers the opportunity to discover and experience stunningly beautiful destinations and landscapes in a single journey. From iconic cities to charming, remote villages to treasured U.S. national parks and everywhere in between, extraordinary travels await.
Busabout’s Halloween incentive

Direct Zurich-Lugano Flugzug train opened
Agents with clients heading to Switzerland’s Italian speaking region can now enjoy the brand new ‘Flugzug’ direct rail service between Zurich Airport and Lugano Station, which commenced on 16 Oct.
An initiative offered by Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) and Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), this connection presents a much more comfortable and greener way to travel between the two cities.
Bookable online or via the airline reservations team, the cost is included in the SWISS flight ticket.
The ‘Flugzug’ timetable offers 14 daily services in each direction between Zurich Airport and Lugano Station, and covers all relevant SWISS connecting flights to and from the airline’s hub in Zurich. The travel time between the two cities is around 2h 40m.
Innocon Bangkok 2019 to showcase Thailand’s impressive infrastructure projects
Annual marquee event INNOCON Bangkok 2019, a part of the International Air Rail Transport Summit (Air Rail 2019), will arrive in Bangkok next month, as the world’s leading figures in the urban infrastructure sector gather to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing this dynamic industry.
This year, the conference will focus on Thailand’s Air Rail infrastructure pipeline and what can be learned from mega-projects from around the world. With many major developments currently coming to a conclusion, and many more planned in future, Air Rail 2019 will examine Thailand’s priorities post-2020 and what action is required from all stakeholders to ensure the country’s long-term success.
Planned and organised by the International Air Rail Organisation (IARO), Project Planning Service (PPS) and PPS OneWorks, this intensive one-day event is expected to attract more than 600 delegates from 30-plus countries worldwide. Delegates will be able to learn from many of the industry’s most influential figures from Thailand and beyond, with over 30 high-level speakers.
The full-day event will start with a morning packed with over 600 high-profile delegates and interesting discussions from local and international industry leaders and public authorities.
