Room-Res has appointed Peter Jones as its new chief commercial officer (CCO) while Kellie Smith steps into the newly-created role of global head of supply and industry partnerships.

The former regional vice president APAC with Bedsonline, part of HBX Group, Jones will officially step into his new role on 25 June 2026.

At Bedsonline, Jones spearheaded commercial strategy and expanded the company’s footprint across major regional markets.

Jones brings experience B2B travel tech, international expansion and high-performance leadership, having scaled the European-based organisation into APAC.

He has held roles with Millennium Hotels and Resorts and TUI and serves as a board director at Port Stephens Koala Hospital.

“Room-Res has built an incredible reputation for empowering travel advisors with innovative booking technology that drives their success,” said Jones of his appointment.

“I am incredibly excited to join the team at such a pivotal moment in the company’s growth trajectory and look forward to working closely with our partners to unlock new commercial opportunities.”

Room-Res co-CEO Nic Bryant said that the company was thrilled to welcome Jones to the leadership team.

“Peter’s expertise in the B2B accommodation sector and his significant experience in the Asia Pacific region make him the perfect fit to lead our commercial strategy. His appointment marks an exciting chapter for Room-Res as we continue to scale our platform and deliver unparalleled value to our travel advisor partners,” Bryant said.

As part of the company’s leadership expansion, Kellie Smith has been appointed to the new role of Global Head of Supply and Industry Partnerships.

Most recently, Smith worked as Room-Res’ head of business development and customer success, as well as partnership marketing & business development – tourism and supply.

In her new role, Smith will be responsible for building, expanding and optimising Room-Res’ hotel and third-party supply relationships. She will also lead Room-Res’ relationships with the trade, as well as the partnerships she has already developed with tourism boards and representation companies.

Smith said that she welcomed the new appointment. “With the current growth in our agency partnerships and geographical footprint, there couldn’t be a more exciting time to be managing our relationships with hotels, third-party suppliers and trade partners,” she said.

“These appointments underscore Room-Res’ commitment to investing in top-tier industry talent to support our ambitious strategic growth plans and our dedication to the travel trade sector,” Room-Res co-CEO James Mooring said.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this next stage in our evolution.”
