Room-Res.com is expanding into New Zealand, with new chief commercial officer Peter Jones confirming via LinkedIn that the company is recruiting for a newly created commercial account manager role in the market.
The hire will be responsible for strengthening Room-Res’s existing trade partnerships across New Zealand and developing new business opportunities, as the wholesaler builds out its on-the-ground presence. Applicants must already hold the right to live and work in New Zealand.
The New Zealand push comes as Room-Res marks its 10th anniversary and follows a broader leadership expansion at the company. Jones joined Room-Res as chief commercial officer in June, moving from Bedsonline, part of HBX Group, where he was regional vice president APAC. His appointment came alongside Kellie Smith’s move into the newly-created role of global head of supply and industry partnerships.
Room-Res.com is built exclusively for travel agents and travel advisors, offering agent-only rates on hotels, transfers, attractions and car rental, with tools to build, hold and confirm complex itineraries. The company is ATIA-accredited and provides Australia-based customer support. It was co-founded by James Mooring and Nic Bryant in 2016.
