Rottnest Island’s tourism authority may have accidentally leaked a spicy secret about The Bachelor Australia‘s Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovska.
Either that or whoever manages their social media has jumped the gun in a spectacular way.
The couple, who declared their love for each other during the most recent season of The Bachelor, recently visited Rottnest Island, and managed to snap a photo of themselves smiling alongside a quokka on Gilbert’s Instagram page.
According to Pedestrian.TV, gossip podcast So Dramatic host Megan Pustetto pointed out that the island’s destination marketing Instagram account left an awkward comment on the picture.
“Congratulations on your engagement! That’s one ‘Locky’ quokka,” @rottnestislandwa commented.
The comment, which under normal circumstances would be quite sweet, has left fans of the show puzzled because Gilbert and Srbinovska have not announced an engagement.
In fact, Srbinovska recently confirmed to The Daily Mail that Gilbert hasn’t popped the question yet and laughed off previous rumours they were set to be hitched.
