Linkd Tourism has appointed Sally Miles to its trade team to represent US and Japanese destinations and product.
Miles’ experience includes eight years with Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) working on business development and marketing.
Linkd Tourism managing director, Kylee Kay, said Miles was perfectly suited for the Account Manager role working with the Arizona Office of Tourism, Kyushu Tourism Organization, JNTO projects and Aqua Aston Hospitality.
“Having lived in both the US and Japan and with her travel industry experience, Sally is ideally placed to work with Linkd Tourism’s partners. Sally’s career path has seen her develop strong relationships with travel agents, tour operators and MICE planners in Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, her warm approach, creativity and efficiency make her a great fit for our company culture,” Kay said.
Miles agreed, adding that she was excited to return to destination marketing and work with Linkd’s partners across the travel industry.
“It has always been a pleasure working with Linkd during my time at both JNTO and Karryon and I look forward to driving visitation to the incredible destinations I’ll be representing.
“After spending 4 years living in Japan in addition to my time with JNTO, I’m pleased to be working with the country again and getting to know Kyushu in more depth as an up-and-coming region. I’m also delighted to be promoting my home country through working with the Arizona Office of Tourism and the incredible properties of Aqua-Aston Hospitality in Hawaii,” Miles said.
