Salter Brothers Hospitality has appointed Chris Curran as chief operating officer to lead the next era of hotel operational excellence.

In his role since late October 2025, Curran leads the company’s operational strategy and performance, working closely with the senior leadership and operational teams to drive excellence across its expanding hotel, restaurant and bar portfolio.

Curran brings over two decades of experience in hospitality and operational leadership with a career spanning senior roles with leading hotel groups and hospitality ventures including IHG, Pro-Invest Group and most recently with NRMA Parks and Resorts.

Known for his dynamic leadership and focus on strategic transformation, multi-site operations and commercial performance, Curran is well positioned to drive SBH’s next phase of growth and enhance operational efficiency across its hospitality assets.

“Chris Curran’s appointment marks a pivotal moment for SBH as we continue to scale and evolve our hospitality offering,” Salter Brothers Hospitality CEO Tash Tobias said. “His expertise and leadership will be instrumental in strengthening our foundations, unlocking new growth opportunities and setting new benchmarks in Australian hospitality. We’re thrilled to welcome Chris to the team.”

He will work closely with SBH’s senior leadership and operations team to bring a powerful combination of operational, culinary, and beverage expertise to elevate SBH’s hospitality standards and deliver exceptional guest experiences across its growing portfolio.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Salter Brothers Hospitality at a time of incredible momentum,” Curran said. “SBH has built a standout portfolio of luxury properties, destination dining experiences and with a new hotel brand to launch next year I look forward to working with the team to sharpen our operational edge, elevate every guest touchpoint, and support the company’s continued growth. Together, we have a real opportunity to set new hospitality benchmarks/redefine hospitality excellence in Australia.”

With a strengthened leadership team and a clear strategic vision, Salter Brothers Hospitality is uniquely positioned to shape the future of luxury hospitality and deliver world-class guest experiences.
