Costco isn’t exactly the place you’d expect to see your travel agent, but helloworld has other ideas.

Helloworld Hunter Travel Group said hello to Costco customers over a fun 12-day pop-up adventure in Auburn NSW.

The 12-day pop-up store had three staff at all times led by cruise sales manager Louise Dann and retail sales manager Lisa Tjandi from helloworld Hunter Travel Group’s head office in Newcastle.

The largest branded member of the helloworld network, helloworld Hunter Travel Group has been working closely with Costco to bring back the power of the brick and mortar agencies in the travel industry.

And following the success of its first venture, the company will now pop up and say hello to customers at Costco Crossroads/Casula.

“The pop-up initiative between helloworld Hunter Travel Group and Costco reflects helloworld’s exemplary level of customer service, commitment to innovation and ability to lead the way in Australian travel,” head of branded network Julie Primmer said.

“The fantastic, bright helloworld branding of the store, coupled with the friendly, helpful staff, attracted attention and generated buzz and support from local Costco customers.”

Managing director of the Hunter Travel Group Brett Dann added that the initiative generated a positive response to the travel agent industry.

“The customers loved the idea that Costco was interested in the travel space and showed great interest in helloworld’s services,” Dann said.

“We were very pleased with the high number of quotes, giveaway entries and the sales that were generated from our pop-up store.  We look forward to building on this success in the next two pop-ups and hope to take this incentive to Costco stores in ACT, Victoria and Queensland as well.”
