Travellers onboard the Scenic Group’s vessel Scenic Eclipse saw a total solar eclipse during their voyage through Greenland.
The solar eclipse was on full display as the yacht sailed through East Greenland on its ongoing 15-day Wonders of the High Arctic: Greenland & Iceland voyage from Oslo to Reykjavik.
The 12 August total solar eclipse swept across the Arctic and North Atlantic, with its path of totality crossing Greenland, Iceland and northern Spain. Scenic Eclipse‘s position in East Greenland, gave guests a remarkable vantage point as the Moon passed directly between the Earth and Sun.

The voyage continues through East Greenland before concluding in Reykjavik on 18 August.
Just last month, Scenic Group revealed that Scenic Eclipse is part of the cruise line’s 2028-2029 Mediterranean and Americas collection.
