Scenic has announced its new 2023/24 ‘Endless Wonders of Australia’ collection encompassing 14 journeys throughout Australia.
Highlights include an in-depth exploration of Queensland’s rural heartland, tasting produce with alpine vistas in Tasmania, plus a train journey on the new Outback Landscapes itinerary.

“The sheer range of journeys on offer means Scenic will visit every state including Norfolk Island. Our Scenic journeys will take guests to country towns like Tamworth and Griffith on our NSW City and Outback itinerary, where they discover more than just the places but the people and their stories.
“Our new Outback Landscapes itinerary includes a little bit of everything – cities, coastal vistas and outback sunsets and as always a journey to the Kimberley will take your breath away.”
On Scenic’s 17-day Outback Landscapes Experience, explorers can enjoy Australia’s vast beauty and diversity on a 17-day tri-state journey of discovery.
This itinerary ventures from Melbourne to the landscapes of Mungo National Park with a visit to the home of Australia’s gold rush in Bendigo. Along this remote route, guests will also visit Broken Hill and the outback ghost town of Silverton.
Guests will enjoy a stay in Wilpena Pound to learn about its significance as a meeting place for the Adnyamathanha peoples before enjoying the Flinders Ranges and Kangaroo Island. The end of this journey includes an overnight stay on the Ghan on the journey to Alice Springs.
The 14-day Outback Queensland Adventure invites travellers on a deeper venture into Queensland’s heartland on a 14-day outback adventure and discover the hidden jewels of this big state. They can learn about the beginnings of Australia’s oil and gas industry in Roma and experience an Enrich Welcome to Country by local Mandananyi peoples.
Travellers can visit the birthplace of Qantas in Longreach and travel to Winton; the small rural town that inspired the “Waltzing Matilda” ballad. They will uncover a treasure trove of ancient dinosaur fossils in the middle of the outback and then head towards the coast to get up close to the Great Barrier Reef.
These explorers can stay a night with the enigmatic Lyons family at Wambiana Station visiting a working outback cattle station or soar over the Atherton tablelands in a hot air balloon flight at sunrise. Guests are treated to a stay at Mitchell Grass Retreat in Longreach.
On the 11-day Tasmania Revealed explorers can take in a journey of trains, planes and wilderness.
Travellers will spend days soaking up the culture, history, scenery, and produce of Tasmania. Starting in the capital Hobart, guests will learn about the states convict past at Port Arthur and be mesmerised by the alpine vistas at Cradle Mountain.
In Launceston, travellers can sample local gin and whisky and finish the journey on a high note with a flight to Flinders Island in Bass Strait, discovering the beaches and visiting one of Tasmania’s most significant Aboriginal sites.
