Renovations at the Sebel Pier One Sydney are well underway, with brand new conference and event facilities to be revealed in September.

As renovations kick into the second phase, the property’s conference facilities are next in line as the century old building receives extensive renovations to its accommodation and facilities.

Four conference rooms are to be stripped in the coming weeks and fitted with floor to ceiling glass to take advantage of the harbor views. Operable windows will also be installed, and the interior décor will receive a face lift.

Once completed, the property will have eight dedicated conference rooms, including an event space which can cater for up to 440 standing delegates.

Sebel Pier One Sydney general manager Michael Sheridan promised that the new look would position the property as a world class meeting and event venue.

“The expansion of our conference and event facility is going to make a huge difference to the hotel,” he said. “[It] will undoubtedly provide a memorable backdrop to an outstanding meeting, conference, event or party.”

Construction is also continuing on seven deluxe suites and 22 waterside king rooms. Set for completion in December, the additional room renovations will bring the guestroom count to 189.
