Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) has wrapped its first Australian trade roadshow, using stops in Perth and Melbourne to unveil a new heritage pass, a Scoot partnership offering discounted attraction entry, and a longer-term plan to double the island’s visitor capacity.
The roadshow, held on 27 and 29 July, drew around 200 travel advisors and brought together Singapore Tourism Board (STB) Oceania, Scoot and seven Sentosa attraction partners.
Addison Goh, divisional director, business & experience development at SDC, said Australian travellers were increasingly looking for more than a day trip.
“Australians are familiar with Sentosa, but many still see it primarily as a day-trip destination or simply a place to stay,” Goh said. “This roadshow gave us an opportunity to deepen our relationships with travel advisors, while also helping to change that perception by showcasing the breadth of experiences across our continuously evolving island.”
The visit follows a strong year for the market, with more than 1.3 million Australians travelling to Singapore in 2025, an 8 per cent rise year-on-year. Australia remains Singapore’s fourth-largest source market in 2026, with over 606,000 arrivals in the first half of the year.
New Culture & Heritage Pass
SDC has launched a Sentosa Culture & Heritage Pass, bundling several attractions into single S$50 or S$100 packages:
- Madame Tussauds Singapore: Images of Singapore exhibition
- Fort Siloso Audio Experience
- Chronicles of the Southern Isles – Albatross Speedboat Adventure
- A limited-edition Sentosa postcard keepsake
A Sentosa Heritage Island Bus Tour will be added to the pass soon, and a mission-based heritage discovery game kit for families launches later this year.
Scoot boarding pass offer
From August, Scoot passengers flying from Australia to Singapore can present their boarding pass for discounts of up to 50 per cent, or complimentary entry, at participating Sentosa attractions. The offer runs through the Australian summer holiday period, with further details on eligible attractions to be announced closer to launch.
SDC is also working with STB and Luxury Escapes to host a content creator on the island between August and September, highlighting family-focused itineraries.
Expansion continues
Families visiting Sentosa now have access to a run of new attractions, including the expanded Singapore Oceanarium, the Skyslides by Klook dual-slide attraction at Skypark Sentosa, and the new WEAVE dining and retail precinct. Accommodation options include Hotel Ora and Village Hotel Sentosa.
Looking further ahead, SDC used the roadshow to spotlight the Greater Sentosa Master Plan, which will integrate the island with the 120-hectare Brani over the next two decades. Development is set to begin in the early 2030s, with the completed precinct projected to attract twice Sentosa’s current visitor numbers.
