Silver Nova, the first ship in Silversea’s innovative Nova class, has arrived in Australia for the first time.

Silver Nova also introduces Silversea’s culinary programme, S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste), to Australia and New Zealand. The S.A.L.T. programme immerses travellers in local cuisines and ingredients reflective of each destination’s heritage. In Darwin, S.A.L.T. Kitchen’s menu featured Darwin Laksa, a local favourite known for its rich, spicy flavours — celebrated annually at the Darwin International Laksa Festival. Among the unique S.A.L.T. Lab classes on board is “Bold and Bright: Island Cuisines from the South Pacific.”

Following her maiden call in Darwin, Silver Nova will sail to Port Douglas and Cairns, continue along the East Coast to Shute Harbour and Brisbane, and arrive in Melbourne and Adelaide at the end of November. From Adelaide, the ship will sail towards Sydney, calling at unique destinations like Kangaroo Island, Phillip Island, and Eden. After Silver Nova’s maiden call in Sydney, the ship will embark on a journey to Tasmania, followed by New Zealand.

“We’re delighted to host guests aboard Silver Nova in Australian waters for the first time; her arrival marks a milestone moment for experiential luxury travel in this region,” said Bert Hernandez, president, Silversea. “Our S.A.L.T. culinary programme enables our guests to experience each destination’s rich culture through its authentic flavours, while Silver Nova’s pioneering asymmetrical design connects travellers with the destination at every turn. We’re proud to offer guests an unmatched level of luxury with industry-leading service, deepening their connection to Australia, New Zealand, and beyond.”

With a capacity of 728 passengers, Silver Nova – along with its sister ship, Silver Ray – is the largest vessel in Silversea’s fleet. Limited suites remain available for voyages aboard Silver Nova this summer — some of which are included in Silversea’s exclusive Black Friday offer.
