Sisterhood Womens Travel, a pioneer in women-only travel, has celebrated its 20th anniversary with a gala at The Langham Melbourne over the weekend with nearly 100 past and present travellers coming together for an evening of laughter, connection, and memories.
Founded in 2005, Sisterhood Womens Travel has grown from a single tour into a vibrant travel community, empowering thousands of women to explore the world with confidence, comfort, and camaraderie. The gala marked a significant milestone and paid tribute to the spirit of adventure that continues to unite women of all ages and backgrounds.
“What started as a simple idea to help women feel safe and supported while seeing the world has turned into a community that spans the globe,” Sisterhood Womens Travel founder Hayley Morris said. “Twenty years later, the Sisterhood is stronger than ever—and this weekend’s celebration was a beautiful reminder of just how powerful connection through travel can be.”
Guests were treated to a night of elegant dining, nostalgic storytelling, and tributes from long-time travellers and supporters. The evening reflected the values at the heart of the Sisterhood – support, connection, and shared experience.
“Travelling with Sisterhood Womens Travel gave me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone,” long-time traveller Susan T. who has joined over a dozen tours shared. “It’s more than just a holiday—it’s a life-changing experience surrounded by women who lift each other up. The 20th anniversary gala felt like a family reunion.”
“The energy in the room was electric,” another guest added. “You could feel the love, the laughter, and the shared stories of travel and transformation. It was more than a celebration—it was a tribute to what happens when women travel together with purpose.”
As Sisterhood Womens Travel looks to the future, the company remains committed to providing enriching, small-group travel experiences that bring women together to discover new destinations – and themselves.
