When you think you’ve seen all that Melbourne has to offer, Le Méridien Melbourne opens its doors to stun travellers with its sophisticated flare and dazzling old-world charm.

A relaxing yet striking décor celebrates the long history of this impressive and immersive property and the charming European style echoed through contemporary art deco makes a stay here a visual delight. Read on for our insight to this plush urban oasis in the heart of a vibrant city!

Check-In

The hotel check-in process was a breeze and only enhanced by the unique pieces scattered throughout the lobby, from curtains made of chain to deep mustard pop of colour on the furniture. The entire space oozed with sophistication and style.

The lobby’s café and wine bar, Intermission, offer signature Le Scoop gelato and cocktails over lush green marble benchtops. A real old charm feel and flare.

The Look & Rooms

A few steps away is Parliament Square and you are bound to get a skyline view in one of its chic 235 guestrooms. With a showstopping rooftop pool and bar overlooking Fitzroy Gardens and the skyscrapers of the CBD, it creates a perfect stay for those looking to work or play!

Standing proud and tall at 12 stories high, Le Méridien Melbourne includes what you would expect from a new dazzling 5-star hotel. Its spacious and comprehensive fitness centre, sauna, and heated swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers lets travellers unwind in style while the conveniences of modern day life are a given through the free Wi-Fi, valet parking, electric-vehicle charging and a parking station on site.

The rooms feature spacious floor to ceiling windows allowing the sun to beam through on a rare sunny Melbourne day overlooking St Patrick’s Cathedral. The plush bed sits at the centre of the room with a large full-size TV nestled across. The art deco style is echoed throughout the room with a deep blue velvet armchair make a subtle nod to the brand’s Air France origins. A perfect spot to curl and unwind with a good book.

Dining

Melbourne is a foodie Mecca and Dolly, the hotel’s restaurant and cocktail bar, does not disappoint with a unique dining experience showcasing its history through its food and drink menu. Expect to be wowed!

1930’s styled Dolly is one of the hotels biggest selling points. Moody, dark toned lighting and sophisticated modern booths set a sultry romantic ambiance.

Local, sustainable ingredients are the hero of both the carefully curated à la carte and set menu. A visually magnificent feast for the eyes and tastebuds. Each meal pays homage to the hotel’s rich history and architecture. If you must order one thing, it must be the Bombe Alaska!

Location

Bourke St is arguably the most central streets in Melbourne. Within a 10 minute’s walk, you can easily access Bourke St Mall, St Patricks Cathedral, the state Library, Fitzroy gardens and Melbourne Central station. A perfect location for both leisure and business travellers!
