Leading New York-based travel agency SmartFlyer is heading down under to team up with Goldman Travel Corporation.
The joint venture will launch SmartFlyer Australia, with fellow Virtuoso agencies aiming to create the go-to company for Australian independent travel consultants.
SmartFlyer Australia will take the spirit of innovative agencies in the US, and match them up with the expertise of Australia’s Goldman Group.
“In the US, we’ve successfully built a community of forward-thinking, social media savvy, next generation travel consultants and this joint venture with the Goldman Group will broaden our reach to create a truly global community,” SmartFlyer CEO Michael Holtz said.
“Our launch into Australia a few years back with our two current SmartFlyer independent consultants has exceeded our expectations. Now, alongside Goldman Travel we have the perfect partner to allow us to spread the SmartFlyer brand to Australia.”

Goldman Travel Corporation’s executive chairman Tom Goldman OAM said the venture has been a long time coming.
“Creating an independent contractor home-based model in Australia has been on our agenda for a few years now,” he said.
“And we are delighted to establish this joint venture with the best in the business, SmartFlyer.”
SmartFlyer Australia will officially launch on May 1 2015.
