Solomon Airlines has revived its Shopping Flight initiative for economy passengers travelling on Flight IE701 from Brisbane to Honiara on Saturdays.
From today, all passengers including children, are offered a checked baggage allowance of 40kg in addition to 7kg of cabin baggage, on Solomon Airlines Saturday Brisbane-Honiara flights in the months of February, March, May, August, September and November 2026.
“We know that it is important for many passengers who like to shop in Australia, and bring back personal items, gifts, and necessities for loved ones in Solomon Islands,” Solomon Airlines marketing team member Jenny Pitakaka said.
“Our Saturday shopping flight makes it a little easier to do that, so that shopping for extras is even more convenient and cost-effective.
“Whether you are a Solomon Islander living in Australia, a business traveller, a seasonal worker, or simply coming across to Brisbane for a holiday, Solomon Airlines wants to make the journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible.”
