Travel Specialists Mosman has been sold to Spencer Travel directors and partners.
Spencer Travel directors, Penny and Edwin Spencer formed a JV company, PESM Pty Limited, along with Sharyn Kitchener and Michael Goodall to buy Travel Specialists Mosman (Mostravel Pty), with the deal being sealed yesterday afternoon.
While details of the purchase remain undisclosed, Spencer Travel director, Penny Spencer told Travel Weekly the Mosman-agency’s brand will be kept and it’s “business as usual” for clients and staff at the long established company.
Penny Spencer and Sharyn Kitchener are the new directors of Travel Specialists Mosman with Sharyn Kitchener taking up the reigns as managing director. Wendy Buckley was previously at the helm of the company since 1995 along with non-executive director, Jane Tonkin.
Spencer operates five companies under the Spencer Group of Companies with Spencer Travel turning over more than $42 million annually.
Following other acquisitions in Sydney’s south, Spencer told Travel Weekly “at the moment this purchase is in line with my strategy of expanding throughout Sydney in different suburbs”.
Located Sydney’s northshore suburb, Mostravel is pitched as a high-end leisure agency with specialist niche divisions including Africa, luxury and family travel.
Spencer Travel along with Travel Specialist Mosman are members of the Magellan Travel Group.
