Q2Connect has appointed Tracey Spicer as an official ambassador, in a journalist meets social networking site venture.

Q2Connect is a free global social networking tool for businesses and individuals, allowing people to connect with friends, colleagues – everyone – throughout every stage of travel and events.

The site makes it possible for travellers to connect with people on the same flight or destination, on their cruise, at the same hotel or attending the same conference, and it was this innovation that led TV/Radio host and journalist Spicer to the group.

Spicer is an avid traveller, and said using Q2Connect makes it easier to share her experiences with others.

“Whilst in Thailand my 8 year old son made friends with a girl his age and they became inseparable for the rest of the holiday,” Spicer explains.

“We became friends with her parents and it was almost too good to be true! It got me thinking – wouldn’t it be wonderful if there were a website to connect with parents who have kids of similar age while on holidays? It turns out there is – Q2Connect has totally changed our holiday experience.”

Users of the site can post questions in a secure platform and get responses about things to do and places to see from people travelling to the same destination, but it also enables the experience Spicer had on holidays – where parents and children alike can connect abroad.

“You have to remember holidays aren’t just for the children. Parents also want to enjoy their trip so it allows them to meet others travelling on the same flight or to the same place who have similar interests,” Spicer added.

“It’s really wonderful for families with special needs children as well. They can come together knowing they have support and make their holiday less stressful and more fun, based on common interests.”

“Q2Connect is also optimising the travel experience for businesses and those travelling solo. I am thrilled to have a website that allows me to start networking before I even arrive at a conference or event!”

Q2Connect founder and director Peter Mansour said Q2Connect is proud to welcome Tracey Spicer as an official ambassador.

“Since our launch Q2Connect is humbled that users in over 15 countries have registered to network with their friends when travelling. We have received a lot of positive feedback especially from women travelling alone or for business,” Mansour said.

“Tracey Spicer embodies the qualities and characteristics of our users. Loves to travel with her family or for work and understands how Q2Connect enhances her travel experience.”
