Sun Island Tours hosted nine Australian travel agents on its iconic eight-day Magnificent Nile itinerary, taking agents through Cairo, Luxor, Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Aswan and Abu Simbel, including a four-day luxury Nile River cruise.
The famil saw the group experience some of Egypt’s most iconic attractions including the Giza Pyramids, Karnak Temple and the new Grand Egyptian Museum, alongside expert Egyptologists.
Sun Island Tours’ supplier on the ground in Egypt guided the private tour. As interest in Egypt continues to grow, the tour operator anticipates increased demand for Egypt travel in 2027.
“Beyond our packaged itineraries, we can also create completely customised, bespoke journeys to suit each client’s individual needs, with private touring led by trusted and experienced Egyptologists,” Sun Island Tours CEO John Polyviou said.
“This famil was designed to show agents just how flexible Egypt can be, and how easily we can tailor an itinerary around what their clients want to see and experience.”
The timing of the trip highlighted and reassured agents of the safety of tourists on the ground in Egypt.
“We were so well looked after from the moment we stepped off the plane in Cairo,” Flight Centre Balgowlah travel advisor Emma Mogenson said. “We had a friendly face to help and guide us every step of the way, making us feel very safe and well looked after at all times.”
Since returning to Australia, participating agents have shared overwhelmingly positive feedback on the all-inclusive 8-day itinerary.
“I’m 100 per cent confident in recommending Sun Island Tours,” Global Travel Network advisor May Comeros said.
Interested travellers can learn more about the itinerary on the tour operator’s website.
