Sunway Hospitality Group appointed Lisa Jackson as the new general manager of The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat in Malaysia.
Jackson’s appointment marks a new chapter for the wellness resort, which houses guests amid the limestone hills and geothermal hot springs of Ipoh.

Jackson has over two decades of experience in luxury resorts across Africa and Asia. She brings a track record spanning operational excellence, commercial performance, financial management and guest experience. Jackson’s most recent role is resort manager of the 117-key Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas.
Initially, Jackson begun her career as a revenue manager in South Africa. Eventually, she joined Minor Hotels in 2018 as cluster director of revenue management for three luxury resorts in Zambia and Mozambique.
In 2021, Anantara promoted Jackson to hotel manager. Just two year later, she took up a general manager position at Elewana Kilindi Zanzibar under Minor Hotels’ portfolio. Lisa led a resort refurbishment, advanced its wellness programs and personalised butler service during her tenure.
The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat sits on 22.7 acres with ancient limestone hills surrounding it.

Just last month, Sunway signed an MoU with Tourism Malaysia to support the Visit Malaysia Year 2026-27 campaign.
