Sydney Airport international arrivals has introduced a barber, gym and nail salon to offer travellers and airport staff a refresh, recharge and reset before or after a flight.

Barber’s Lounge is now open at T1 International Arrivals, providing premium grooming services for passengers seeking a quick refresh, including haircuts, beard trims and other grooming services.

Anytime Fitness will soon open, also at T1 International Arrivals, becoming Australia’s first airport-based gym. Spanning 300sqm, the club offers flexible fitness options tailored to travellers and airport staff to stretch, sweat and recover – helping reduce stiffness, boost circulation, ease stress, lessen the effects of jet lag and improve sleep after long haul travel or demanding shifts.

By the end of Q3, ProfessioNail will join the lineup, offering everything from express manicures to expert nail care.

“We know that after a long flight, people want things to feel simple and seamless,” Sydney Airport general manager retail Gail Taylor said. “Whether you’re arriving in Sydney for the first time or coming home, our focus is on making the experience smoother and more enjoyable. These new service-led offerings are part of our broader commitment to making every step through the airport easier.

“We’re continuing to evolve our retail mix to better match how people travel today – adding thoughtful services, practical solutions and welcoming spaces that genuinely add value. It’s all about creating a more connected, customer-focused experience that helps travellers feel ready for whatever comes next.”

“The launch of our club at Sydney Airport reflects our strategic commitment to delivering accessible fitness solutions wherever our members live, work and travel,” Anytime Fitness Australia managing director Simon Thompson said.

“As Australia’s most welcoming and inclusive fitness network, we’re proud to support travellers and airport teams with a space designed to move, recharge and prioritise wellbeing. This initiative represents a significant milestone for our brand and the broader fitness industry, setting a new benchmark for convenience-led fitness.”

Arriving after a long flight often means heading straight into meetings, events or home life, Barber’s Lounge owner Omar Choukchouk said.

“Barber’s Lounge at Sydney Airport gives travellers the opportunity to refresh and feel their best as soon as they land. We’re proud to bring premium grooming services into International Arrivals and be part of a new era of service-led experiences at the airport,” he said.

The new offerings reflect Sydney Airport’s broader commitment to enhancing the passenger experience through elevated retail experiences that go beyond traditional shopping. Each new offering delivers convenience, quality, and a touch of self-care, ensuring International Arrivals is welcoming, vibrant, and tailored to modern travel needs.
