A Sydney bar will host a one-off event later this month, where patrons can wine and dine in the buff.
‘Bottoms Up Sydney’ will be co-hosted by Stitch Bar (located in Sydney’s CBD) and Young Nudists of Australia (YNA) on Sunday 27 October, and is being promoted as “an opportunity for less-inhibited Sydneysiders to enjoy a Sunday session, a few beers and a feed with your friends, minus all your clothes”.
According to Bottoms Up Sydney’s listing on Eventbrite, similar events have already been held in Melbourne, London and France.
While anyone more than 18 years old can attend, the event aims to attract a younger crowd, according to a spokesperson for YNA.
“They’ll get to experience something different and who knows, they may like it and then decide to try a nude beach or something similar in the future,” the spokesperson told news.com.au.
The event is also “strictly” non-sexual and “anybody found to be behaving inappropriately will be removed” and required to dress, organisers House of Pocket warn.
But, after stripping down and ridding yourself of pockets, like us, you are probably wondering where you will put your credit card or ID. Thankfully, the event organisers have that figured out.
While House of Pocket advises wearing shoes and bringing a towel to sit on, guests will receive lanyards and plastic pockets on entry to store cash and cards.
Tickets are $30 per person, which includes a bottle or can of craft beer, house wine, or soft drink; while dinner and drinks beyond that are at individual expense, the bar’s full menu of beers, wines and cocktails are at the disposal of attendees.
