The Appointment Group Pty Ltd (TAG) has officially opened its new Wellington office, marking a major milestone in its New Zealand growth story.
Since launching locally in 2023 – following the acquisitions of Red Hot Travel and Events and Sound Travels – TAG has continued to strengthen its presence in the market. The business has secured several major client wins, expanded its local team, and is well-positioned for further growth supported by the new office.
The expansion also reflects TAG’s investment in local talent. The Wellington office serves as a hub for a growing team of travel, event, and production specialists, providing expanded capacity and expertise to better service clients across New Zealand.
“Since entering the New Zealand market, TAG has experienced sustained growth,” TAG chief revenue officer Shane Barr said. “This move reflects that momentum and provides the space and resources to support the next stage of our journey.”
Red Hot Travel & Events, Powered by TAG, has been a cornerstone of New Zealand’s incentive travel and events industry for six years. What began as a one-person business has grown into a team of seven passionate professionals, dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for clients across the country and beyond.
Today, the team specialises in incentive travel, bespoke corporate events, and high-end leisure experiences – ensuring travel is seamless while turning client visions into reality. The office opening took place last week with the His Worship, the Honourable Mayor Andrew Little, cutting the ribbon along with Red Hot Travel and Events founder, Adair Cameron.
“We’re proud of our growth and resilience, and this move into a larger space really cements our momentum,” TAG NZ director of events & private travel Adair Cameron said. “But what we’re most proud of is the calibre of experiences we deliver – because every trip and event should feel extraordinary. Our mission is simple: take care of people, make travel easy, and create memories that last a lifetime.”
“It’s great to see companies like TAG having the confidence to establish their offices in Wellington, I welcome their commitment to the Capital,” Mayor Andrew Little said.
The relocation follows a period of exceptional expansion for TAG across the APAC region, including the company’s entry into New Zealand, a move to a larger Melbourne office earlier this year, and continued business growth.
