TFE Hotels is making its UK debut with the opening of two landmark Adina properties: The Hobson Cambridge by Adina and The Wellington Glasgow by Adina.

These hotels mark the first step in TFE’s strategic expansion into the UK market, building on its growing presence across continental Europe and Asia.

Launched on 24 November, The Hobson Cambridge is a 56-key studio-style hotel set within the Grade II listed Hobson House on St Andrew’s Street in the heart of the city. Once the stables of 17th-century businessman Thomas Hobson – whose name inspired the phrase “Hobson’s Choice” – and later home to Cambridge’s police and fire station, the building has been meticulously restored to preserve its historic features, including vaulted ceilings, timber beams, and period detailing.

The Hobson Cambridge offers guests a blend of independence and convenience, with modern kitchenettes and open-plan living spaces designed for both short and extended stays. The hotel also features a private meeting room and Oz & Isle restaurant – a nod to TFE’s Australian roots and the Adina’s new home in the UK. The venue offers a vibrant dining experience where the drinks set the tone, and shared dishes bring people together.

TFE is also unveiling The Wellington on 8 December 2025, transforming Glasgow’s historic Wellington House into a design-led aparthotel that blends 19th-century grandeur with contemporary comfort. The 98-key property introduces Adina’s casual living hotels to Scotland, offering Studio Rooms, Studio Premier Rooms, and Studio Premier Rooms with sofa beds – each featuring open-plan living areas, stylish kitchenettes, and thoughtful touches like in-room steamers and coffee machines.

The design pays homage to Glasgow’s rich architectural and cultural heritage, creating a welcoming space for both business and leisure travellers. Guests can enjoy access to a gym and a flexible meeting space, while the lobby shop and café bar provide grab-and-go breakfast options and relaxed evening drinks.

With these openings, TFE Hotels brings Australian hospitality to the UK, offering travellers a fresh way to experience two of Britain’s most iconic destinations. Both properties are ideally located in the heart of their respective cities, placing guests within walking distance of cultural landmarks, dining precincts, and transport hubs.

“These two properties align beautifully with our vision of operating flexible, design-led studio-hotel experiences in vibrant, globally connected cities,” TFE Hotels CEO Antony Ritch said. “Glasgow and Cambridge not only strengthen TFE Hotels’ European footprint but also lay the foundation for future growth in the UK market.”
