TFE Hotels has officially opened Adina Chermside Brisbane in line with Australian Made Week, underscoring the company’s commitment to homegrown brands, local talent, and authentically Australian hospitality.

From Adina and Vibe Hotels to A by Adina and Collection by TFE Hotels, the group’s portfolio continues to foster Australian design and ideas.

“It’s why we champion local partnerships, showcase Australian artists and makers, and create spaces that feel distinctly connected to their destination,” TFE Hotels Group chief operating officer Chris Sedgwick said.

TFE’s newest Adina hotel sits just minutes from Westfield Chermside, The Prince Charles Hospital and major transport links, positioning it as a strategic new asset in Brisbane’s northern corridor. The opening will strengthen the group’s footprint in one of Brisbane’s fastest‑growing lifestyle and health precincts and meeting escalating demand for high‑quality, apartment‑style accommodation outside the CBD.

Developed by Brisbane-based Limitless Developments and designed by WMK Architecture, the 148-key property delivers a light‑filled, design‑led interpretation of subtropical urban living, with articulated forms, generous glazing and integrated greenery connecting guests to the outdoors.

Adina Chermside also showcases the next evolution of the Adina brand – shaped around what modern travellers value most: authentic local experiences, spacious apartment living, kitchens to gather around, and a distinctly Australian design sensibility. The hotel also champions partnerships with Australian makers, including Dilkara amenities and Brisbane-based photographer Sam Thies, reinforcing its connection to the community.

“Adina Chermside is a smart expansion into a high‑demand, well‑connected urban hub,” Sedgwick added. “The apartment‑style product, the design, and the location make it ideally suited to longer stays and a broad mix of corporate and leisure travellers.”

The hotel offers a mix of studio rooms, and one-bedroom apartments with kitchen and laundry facilities. Guest amenities include an all-day café and bar, meeting rooms with natural light, a gym and undercover parking, catering to business travellers, families, health-sector guests, and extended-stay visitors alike.

“From the softer, nature‑inspired interiors to the intuitive apartment layouts, everything has been designed to feel like a genuine home base,” Adina Chermside general manager Sue Rowe said “We’re already seeing strong demand from guests who want space, flexibility and a real connection to where they’re staying.”

With integrated sustainability measures, including passive design principles and a strong connection between architecture and landscape, Adina Chermside positions itself as a contemporary, design-forward alternative to traditional city hotels and is a great choice for city fringe conferencing.

“We’re uniquely positioned to support a diverse mix of business, medical, sporting, and leisure travellers,” Rowe added. “With our proximity to the hospital precinct, Westfield Chermside, and key corporate and light industrial hubs, we have shaped our offering around flexibility, comfort, and community connection.”

Conference and meeting spaces cater to small‑format corporate and medical groups, with rooms designed for productivity and wellbeing and capacity for up to 22 guests.

“Our cafe complements this with a clean, heart‑healthy menu built around quality local produce,” Rowe said. “Whether guests are here for a meeting, a sporting event or a shopping weekend, the experience is warm, easy and designed to help them recharge.”

TFE Hotels CEO Antony Ritch said Adina Chermside represented another step in the group’s broader expansion strategy and reflected the growing global recognition of the Adina brand, following recent openings in the UK and the international rollout of A by Adina in Vienna and soon Berlin.

“Congratulations to our pre-opening team,” Ritch said. “Chermside is a dynamic part of Brisbane in a great city in a great state, and a wonderful opportunity for us as a business.”

Ritch also pointed to Queensland’s long‑term tourism ambitions, noting the state’s Destination 2045 plan, which forecasts demand for 40,000 additional hotel rooms statewide – up to 30,000 of which will be required by 2032 to support the Olympic and Paralympic Games and the state’s expanding major events pipeline.

“Queensland’s position as a global gateway to the Indo‑Pacific and Asia‑Pacific markets, combined with its rapid investment growth, makes it a critical market for TFE,” Ritch concluded.

For GM Sue Rowe, the opening marks a milestone – her first hotel opening in a 28‑year career with TFE Hotels.
