While a number of Aussie agencies are shaking things up to stay relevant against OTAs, and other agencies around the world are diversifying their offerings, this itravel agency has got the right idea.

itravel have signed a new partnership with Barrow & Bear Travel + Coffee, a business that offers the clever combination of coffee and travel bookings.

Based in Wavell Heights, north of Brisbane, Barrow & Bear is itravel’s newest link affiliate member.

“Barrow & Bear is a unique concept which mixes our love for food, coffee and travel into one big package,” Director of Barrow & Bear, Callum Whitehead said.

“This concept allows for a more relaxed and personalised vibe for our clients to enjoy while browsing brochures, booking a holiday or enjoying a meal.

“Gone are the days of travel agents and clients sitting across at desks from each other, at Barrow & Bear it’s your ideas, your adventures.”

The model is very similar to the Baden-Baden branch of L’Tur – which happens to be one of Germany’s largest agency groups.

L’Tur shares its retail space with Starbucks in an upscale mall, because think about what you want most when headed into a meeting, or better yet, a fab chat about your next adventure? Yep, it’s Coffee.
