Anne has joined the sales team at Sydney’s Four Points by Sheraton as the new director of sales MICE in the lead up to the launch of the hotel’s new convention centre in June 2016.
The great thing about my job is… meeting new and diverse people.
The challenge for industry is… adapting to travellers’ ever changing needs.
My greatest achievement is… probably be my experience in China. Five years with the culture difference and language barrier… it was not easy adapting and looking back on that makes me very proud.
The biggest thing in MICE this year will be… staying on top of all the trends, especially for technology and food and beverage.
I try to relax by… doing aerial yoga.
I don’t understand why… governments and people aren’t doing more to save the Planet.
My favourite venue is… the Sydney Opera House, it takes my breath away every single time. Of course when our $200 million redevelopment at Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Darling Harbour is complete, it will be one of Sydney’s leading event venues!
I’ve always wanted to travel to… Egypt to see the pyramids and Norway to see the northen lights.
I am scared to death of… anything with tentacles…
I can’t live without… my smartphone, headache painkillers and a good lipstick.
I really wish I had… more time to spend with my loved ones.
If I could invite four people to a dinner party, they’d be… Angela Merkel, Adam Levine, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Gordon Ramsay
For anyone starting out in the industry one piece of advice I’d give would be… challenge yourself, never give up and dream big.
