The great thing about my job is … The dynamics and diversity of experiences every single day. It is certainly never dull!
The challenge for industry is … To develop a unified voice in order to deliver a coordinated message to government on the value and benefits of the business events industry.
My greatest achievement is … To see the growth and development of staff I have mentored over the years and watch them progress in their own careers. I’m a proud mother!
The biggest thing in MICE this year will be … The progress of construction of the Sydney International Convention, Exhibition and Entertainment Precinct (SICEEP) due for completion in 2016. Closer to home, we are looking forward to the Darwin Centre’s hosting of the MEA Conference in May.
I try to relax by … Entertaining friends at home, walking my dog and enjoying the beautiful sunsets over the Darwin harbour.
I don’t understand why … Some people abuse animals.
Currently the album playing on my iPod is … Australia’s own Crowded House.
My favourite venue is … The Darwin Convention centre – of course!
I’m scared to death of … Crocodiles.
I can’t live without … Not doing something. I need to be active!
Blackberry or iPhone? … Blackberry.
I really wish I had … A winning Lotto ticket!
If I could invite four people to a dinner party, they’d be … Will Anderson and Todd Sampson (I’m a keen viewer of The Gruen Transfer!), Heston Blumenthal, the creator of the legendary Fat Duck Restaurant in the UK, and the talented and multi-award winning English actress, Kate Winslet.
