This week, we get inside the brains of Kira Klein, Director of Marketing and Brand Loyalty, Oaks Hotels & Resorts, and discover she’s sweet as pie!

The great thing about my job is…

Seeing people enjoying a holiday or residential conference at one of our hotels.

The challenge for industry is…

Reduced budgets by companies for staff MICE activities. Smaller budgets mean smaller or less events.

My greatest achievement is…

Being a young, female business leader.

The biggest thing in MICE this year will be…

The Oaks Hotels hot air balloon at our Hunter Valley Cypress Lakes property!

I try to relax by…

Reading a good book…when I get time out from 2 little munchkins, which is never.

I don’t understand why…

People use so much plastic. It never goes away.

My favourite venue is…

Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort – the pool marquee.

I’ve always wanted to travel to…

Mongolia & do a horse riding trek.

I am scared to death of…

Snakes!

I can’t live without…

Trees.

I really wish I had…

Straight hair.

If I could invite four people to a dinner party, they’d be…

If I could also bring some back to life I would have Nelson Mandela, Graca Machel, Desmond Tutu and Richard Branson.

For anyone starting out in the industry one piece of advice I’d give would be ….

Be nice. Be organised. Have fun.
