The great thing about my job is… The people. I work with a really switched on group of people who care passionately about making a difference.

The challenge for industry is… Keeping focussed on positive longer term outcomes, particularly in challenging times.  By 2020 the sector has the potential to contribute up to $16 billion annually.

My greatest achievement is… working for Tourism Australia and building the demand for new business events opportunity for the Australian industry.

The biggest thing in MICE this year will be… The new Business Events Australia marketing campaign including our new website!

I try to relax by… The usual tick list:  good friends, good food and wine and the odd bit of yoga to balance the food and wine bit.

I don’t understand why… Good manners are not more common place.

Currently the album playing on my iPod is… Goldfrapp, Richard Hawley, Boy and Bear, Bat for Lashes, Kylie Minogue and lots of classical music. Eclectic – to match the mood.

My favourite venue is… My sister’s living room, overlooking the entire expanse of Bondi Beach.

I am scared to death of… Besides all the obvious death responses (including giant spiders) I am scared of being stuck on a boat.  Me and boats are not a great mix.

I can’t live without… Besides my loved ones – it would have to be good food.

Blackberry or iPhone… Currently Blackberry.  But I am coveting an iPhone.
