The great thing about my job is… working with our sensational network of travel airlines, wholesalers and travel agents.  I love getting out on the road visiting travel agents and not only having a chat about our product but also catching up on what is happening in their lives – when you have been on the road for this many years the network is part of your family and we have all shared our trials and tribulations over the years.

The challenge for industry is… to continue to evolve and keep up with changes, passenger requirements and to ensure that customer service is first and foremost at all times.

My greatest achievement is… my job. I love what I do and I love this industry.

The biggest thing in MICE this year will be… conferences at sea

I try to relax by… playing golf, I have just started and it is very relaxing and a great social and networking environment.  I never realised just how relaxing golf could be

I don’t understand why…there are so many hidden agendas in life – just come out with it and say how you feel.

Currently the album playing on my iPod is… Neil Diamond

My favourite venue is… the auditorium on board the Athena.  As a conference venue it sure beats anything on dry land with the changing views. Athena also offers fresh air, great food, excitement and excellent service.  You can’t beat a floating venue for a conference with a difference

I am scared to death of… the word “no” in business.  This word should not exist, you can always find a way around any situation or find a good compromise

I can’t live without… my seven year old German Shepherd Phantom – the kids have finally come to terms with their place in the family pecking order!

Blackberry or iPhone… Blackberry but soon to be iPhone as I am using the iPad every day so the ability sync work platforms is very important

I really wish I had… the ability to know then what I know now

If I could invite four people to a dinner party, they’d be… Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela, My Dad, Kofi Annan – 4 good people with good hearts.  If you put them in one room to share their ideas I am sure they could make a difference to the world.
