Less than a year from the launch of ARRIVAL, founders Jack Steele and Matt Ford of the Inspired Unemployed are releasing a travel documentary series uncovering how the idea came together.
The four-part series launches on 5 May 2026 and pulls back the curtain on the platform dedicated to authentic, off-the-beaten-path travel experiences.
With episodes set to be released weekly, the documentary offers an unfiltered look at what it takes to start a travel company from scratch, those who helped make it happen and the mishaps that almost knocked it off track.
The social media duo documented every step of their journey from inspiration and team building to testing trips and landing major partnerships.
“We wanted to document the whole thing properly from the start because we knew it was going to be a wild ride,” said co-founder Jack Steele. “And it was. This is the real version of how ARRIVAL got built.”

Since its launch in 2025, ARRIVAL has sent thousands of Australians on trips to Vietnam, Japan, Kazakhstan, Nepal and beyond.
Just last week, ARRIVAL partnered with Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers alum Liam Moore to lead an Everest Base Camp expedition which sold out in two days.
“There are a lot of people who built this with us that most people have never heard of,” said co-founder Matt Ford. “This documentary is as much about them as it is about us.”
‘ARRIVAL – an origin story’ launches tomorrow, 5 May at 6pm AEST on YouTube.
