The travel industry’s most thought-provoking conference got underway this morning in front of a big virtual crowd of industry professionals.
Presented by Tourism Australia and produced by Travel Weekly, Travel DAZE 2021 has brought together the best minds from within the travel sector, along with external experts, to foster the reboot of travel and tourism.
Tourism Australia chief marketing officer Susan Coghill kicked off proceedings with an insightful and inspiring chat with Getaway host and “Australia’s Most Travelled Woman”, Catriona Rowntree, about travelling in a COVID world.
Next, it was G Adventures founder Bruce Poon Tip, who shared his thoughts on the tough border stance Down Under, and explained how the adventure travel player is working around it.
Then, earlier this afternoon, Airbnb’s country manager for Australia and New Zealand, Susan Wheeldon, shared the company’s local journey through the pandemic, and how it plans to continue working hand in hand with other players in the travel industry.
