The Sebel Busselton has unveiled an extensive $6.1 million refurbishment of the resort’s 59 club apartments, reception, onsite lounge and pizza café.
Drawing on the property’s scenic coastal location and the iconic Busselton Jetty, renovations deliver a fresh new look and upgraded amenities to elevate the experiences of vacation club members and guests.
The Sebel has also partnered with the local Lions Club to donate a range of items from the refurbishment, including electrical appliances, lighting, bedding, furniture and décor items, which were repurposed for community use.
“Through this project, we aimed to create spaces that bring the beauty of Busselton indoors, offering guests a fully immersive experience of the destination,” The Sebel Busselton general manager Sandy Crothers said.
“We selected a colour scheme centred around sandy browns and ocean blues, inspired by nearby Geographe Bay, updated appliances like televisions and introduced coffee pod machines for added comfort, while new balcony chairs and tables encourage guests to soak up the beautiful West Australian climate as they dine outside.”
The club’s studio apartments were fully refreshed with bespoke carpets in bedrooms, updated kitchenettes, and renewed bathrooms with modern tiling, vanities, and fixtures. They also feature new curtains, wall-mounted bedheads, bedside tables, lamps, and living room furniture.
The two- and three-bedroom apartments had a significant makeover, where the bedrooms were recarpeted and kitchens upgraded with modern joinery, stone benchtops, splashbacks, appliances and feature lighting. Living areas were enhanced with new furniture, including sofa beds and décor, while bedrooms were fitted with wall-mounted bedheads and side tables.
Apartments were further enhanced with Nespresso machines, new smart TVs – with 65-inch screens in living areas – and new washing machines and dryers. Window treatments were also updated, with a mix of curtains, sheers, plantation shutters, and roller blinds installed throughout.
The reception area underwent a complete transformation and now features modern pod-style stone-topped desks, new pendant lighting, VJ panelling, upgraded flooring, and refreshed décor. New lounge seating enhances the public spaces’ stylish ambiance.
A key highlight of the refurbishment is the addition of a new poolside pizzeria, which has quickly become a popular dining option for guests.
Nestled near the pristine shores of Geographe Bay, The Sebel Busselton offers families the perfect base for exploring the stunning South West region, including the renowned Margaret River wine region.
Guests can enjoy a wide range of recreational facilities at the resort, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis and squash courts, a well-equipped gym, a games room, and a kids’ playroom. For those looking to explore the scenic coastal paths, complimentary bike hire is offered to Accor Vacation Club members, providing a unique way to experience Busselton’s picturesque surroundings. Accor Vacation Club is managed by Travel + Leisure Co.
