Tourism Australia has partnered with The Wiggles to inspire tiny travellers and their families from all across Australia to ‘Holiday Here This Year’.

The collaboration will allow the nation’s most-loved children’s entertainment group to share Australian holiday experiences with families in a fun, safe, and memorable way.

A new book called The Great Australian Wiggly Road Trip! will allow children to follow The Wiggles as they travel across each state and territory, spotting Aussie animals in some of Australia’s most iconic destinations.

Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins has even gone one step further and provided a book reading on YouTube.

To further engage the youngest of travellers, a Wiggles-themed family hub has launched on Australia.com.

The new kids’ hub will house videos, A to Z Australian animal flip cards, a bingo game and a story generator that will allow kids to create a Wiggly adventure story personalised to them. Parents will also find tips and inspiration to plan a family-friendly holiday in Australia.

“We are so incredibly excited to be partnering with Tourism Australia in such a monumental year for The Wiggles and a unique time in history,” said Blue Wiggle Anthony Field, who is also a founder of The Wiggles.

“There has never been a more important time to explore Australia than now, and who better to do it with than Tourism Australia! We are so excited to share some of the great locations that Australia offers. There’s so much to see and do right here in our own backyard!”

Tourism Australia managing director Phillipa Harrison said the agency was “thrilled” to partner with The Wiggles to inspire families with young children to plan and book their next domestic holiday.

“We know how precious holidays with young children can be and hope our partnership with The Wiggles leads to family holidays that become lifelong memories,” she said.

“The Wiggles are now into their 30th year and they are universally loved by generations, which is why we are also welcoming them into Tourism Australia’s Friends of Australia program for all the work they have done, and will continue to do, to promote Australia to the world.”

As part of the partnership, The Wiggles will also release a new song and YouTube content series aimed at teaching children how they can become future guardians of Australia by holidaying “the Wiggly way”.

Tourism Australia is also an official partner of an upcoming nationwide Wiggles tour in 2022.
