While most international borders remain firmly closed, you can still tour the greatest sights of the world via Instagram.

We know, it sounds silly, but Instagram has become the ideal spot for travel inspiration, with users posting pictures around the world of everything from sandy beaches and futuristic skylines to scenic landmarks and the world’s most luxurious objects and restaurants.

To help you get inspired and learn the best spots to send your clients once international travel is back on the table, Inkifi has collated all the very best spots on its 2020 Instagram Travel Guide, showcasing the most photographed places on the globe.

There are even some Aussie spots named that you can add to your client’s domestic itineraries while they wait including the Sydney Opera House which took out the top spot for best theatre with 880,860 posts.

Sydney’s Bondi Beach ranked fourth for best beach with 1,669,416 posts, followed by Queensland’s Whitehaven Beach at 17th with 188,430 posts, Broom’s Cable Beach at 28th with 96,875 posts and Jervis Bay’s Hyams Beach ranked 35th with 75,890 posts.

The Sydney Opera House also ranked 39th on the list of best landmarks and Sydney placed 10th for best skylines with 36,660 posts, followed closely by Melbourne which ranked 12th with 29,055 posts.

In terms of national parks, Australia also took out a few spots with the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park ranking 11th, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park ranking 24th and Kakadu National Park ranking 48th.
