Even those booking through an agent will turn to Google to research and get inspiration for their next big adventure. That said, Google searches can provide a great resource for tapping into the latest destination and experience trends in the travel space.
Globehunters has put in the hard yards and analysed the number of searches on Google for some of the world’s most popular visitor attractions and the results are pretty clear: people can’t get enough of Disney.
Disney theme parks took each of the top three spots, with Disneyland in Anaheim, California, averaging 1.7 million searches per month.
Other popular sights around the world include the immense Taj Mahal in India (1.06m searches) and the sprawling Incan citadel Machu Pichu (1.05 searches).
