If you are looking for a wine to compliment your weekend then you can do no better than a bottle of Murdoch Hill’s Rocket Chardonnay which was named Australia’s best wine at the National Press Club in Canberra last night.
The prestigious gong was given out by none other than Australian prime minister Anthony Albanese himself.
National Wine Show of Australia chair of judges Matt Harrop said the Rocket Chardonnay, from a family owned vineyard in Oakbank, was a beautifully made wine that stood out from the first round of tasting through to the trophy judging.
